SysLinuxOS for System Integrators è una distribuzione Debian Stable Based, personalizzata per il lavoro di Systems integrators e Sysadmins, che poi è quello che faccio io, o almeno ci provo 🙂 . Utilizzando da sempre Debian per lavoro non ho mai avuto problemi nel trovare tutti gli strumenti per le molteplici e differenti attività, ma allo stesso tempo sentivo l’esigenza di avere una distro che racchiudesse tutti i tools e che funzionasse out of the box. SysLinuxOS può essere utilizzata come live, e lavorarci tranquillamente, poiche tutto è già installato. Un System Integrator lavora con hardware di vendor diversi tra loro, si trova OS differenti, vpn differenti, addirittura quando si comunica con IT che si trovano in sedi remote, ti chiedono di collegarti tramite teamviewer, anydesk, teams, zoom, ecc. ecc. Bisogna a volte utilizzare browser diversi, altre volte per alcune cose c’è un programmino .exe che serve ad aggiornare un certo tipo di device. Da tutte queste esigenze e non solo nasce umilmente SysLinuxOS!
Why SysLinuxOS?
SysLinuxOS for System Integrators is a Debian Stable-based distribution, customized for the work of system integrators and sysadmins, which is what I do, or at least I try to 🙂 . Having always used Debian for work, I have never had problems finding all the tools for the multiple and different activities, but at the same time, I felt the need to have a distro that included all the necessary tools and that worked out of the box. SysLinuxOS can be used as a live system, and everything is already installed, so you can work on it easily. A system integrator works with hardware from different vendors, encounters different operating systems, different VPNs, and even when communicating with IT in remote locations, they ask you to connect via TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Teams, Zoom, etc. Sometimes, you need to use different browsers, while other times, there is an .exe program that is needed to update a certain type of device. From all these needs and more, SysLinuxOS was humbly born!
